Welcome to Em’s Art Shack! I offer weekly art and clay classes for school-aged children, plus school break and summer camps. All classes are small, hands-on, and focused on creativity, confidence, and fun.

School Break Camps

🐾 April Break “Make Your Pet” Camp

Turn your favorite pet into a clay sculpture! Artists will work from photos to create a personalized animal masterpiece.

Details

Ages: 5+
Date: April 6–10
Time: 9:00 AM–12:00 PM
Cost: $150/week (includes all materials & firing)
Finished work ready ~2 weeks after camp

Each day includes studio time, snack, free play, games and outdoor play.

April Break Afternoon Pottery Camp

An intro to wheel throwing for beginners, plus skill-building time for returning students. Pottery is challenging — effort and experience matter more than perfection!

Date: April 6-10
Time: 12:30–3:00 PM
Cost: $150/week (includes all materials & firing)
Finished work ready ~2 weeks after camp

Each day includes studio time, snack, free play, games and outdoor play.

Kindergarten Art Club

Painting, drawing & clay — just right for Kindergarten artists!

You have 2 Options for this club: (choose one)

Mondays 2:30–3:15 PM OR
Tuesdays: 2:30–3:15 PM

1st & 2nd Grade Art Club

A well-rounded art class exploring painting, drawing, and ceramics.

Wednesdays: 2:30–3:15 PM

Class size: 8 -10 students
Cost: $60/month

Clay Club (Grades 3+)

Hand-building with clay using coils, slabs, and pinch pots. Monthly themes guide each artist’s unique design.

You have two options: (choose one)

Mondays: 3:30–4:30 PM OR
Thursdays: 2:30–3:30 PM

Snack provided
Class size: 8 students
Cost: $60/month

Handbuilding Clay Club (Grades 5–6)

Advanced hand-building class for students in 5th & 6th grades. Longer sessions allow time for design, critique, and skill refinement.

Wednesdays: 3:30–5:00 PM

Class size: 8 students
Cost: $80/month

Pottery Club (Ages 10+ or by invitation)

After-school wheel-throwing pottery club focused on skill-building, patience, and functional pottery.

You have two options: (choose one)

Tuesdays: 3:30–5:00 PM OR
Thursdays: 3:30–5:00 PM

Snack provided
Class size: 6 students
Cost: $80/month

It’s best if you plan to join this class for more than 1 session, so the artists can continue to practice their skills.

Homeschool Offerings

Homeschool Clay/Art Club (K–4)

A creative art & clay class designed just for homeschool artists, with flexible themes based on student interests.

Mondays: 12:00–1:30 PM

Class size: 8 students
Cost: $75/month

Homeschool Pottery Club (Ages 10+)

Wheel-throwing focused class for homeschool students ready to learn pottery skills and studio practices.

Tuesdays: 12:00–1:30 PM

Class size: 6 students
