Description
Calling all aspiring potters, ages 9 -18! If you are looking for a new experience for your child this summer, this is the camp for you! Come join me for an afternoon pottery camp, where your child will learn the basic skills needed to throw pottery on the wheel.
Camp begins each afternoon at noon with a wheel demo before your artist has their turn on their wheel. We will take a break for afternoon snack and some free play time before heading back into the studio to complete the work of the day. When our pieces are complete, we will paint them with underglazes and load them into the kiln! When we are finished cleaning up, we will head outside to play until pickup time at 3.
Pottery camps are intended for students ages 9 to 18, unless approved by me. Class size is limited to 6 artists.
Cost: $150/week which includes afternoon snack, all materials and firing fees.
Covid: We will follow the CDC guidelines for Covid protocols.
Please have kids come in play clothes that you don’t mind getting clay/glaze on. On Friday, we will head to the splash pad in Gannon Park for an end of camp splash!
