Learn how to make your own Lighthouse and pirate ship to go with it!
We will kick off this week designing our very own lighthouses and then we will come up with a plan to turn our sketches into a 3 dimensional lighthouse, complete with light! We will use hand building skills to slip and score our bricks in layers to bring our forms to life. Once our lighthouses are finished, we will make a pirate ship to go with it!
Each day we will take a half hour break for morning snack and some free play time before heading back into the studio to complete the work of the day. When our pieces are complete, we will paint them with underglazes and load them into the kiln! When we are finished cleaning up, we will head outside to play until pickup time at noon.
These camps are intended for school aged children ages 5 and up!
Cost: $150/week which includes morning snack, all materials and firing fees.
Covid: We will follow the CDC guidelines for Covid protocols.
Please have kids come in play clothes that you don’t mind getting clay/glaze on. On Friday, we will head to the splash pad in Gannon Park for an end of camp splash!
